About the Role

Trumid is looking for a DevOps Engineer who will continue to improve our CI/CD pipelines. As our company grows, the number of product lines we support, the number of engineers on our teams, and the complexity of our codebase will increase. The ideal candidate is passionate about the developer experience and is in relentless pursuit of tighter feedback loops. You will be responsible for the quality and speed of our CI/CD pipelines, serving our million-line (and growing) monorepo. You will use Bazel to build, test, and deploy our applications, which include TypeScript, Scala, Python, and Golang.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a rapidly evolving environment where the monorepo is expanding, the number of pull requests per day is increasing, and the build complexity is growing. What You’ll Do

  • Manage, maintain, and test CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Analyze and evaluate our current use of Jenkins and provide recommendations for potential improvements or migrations.
  • Utilize Bazel to build, test, and deploy applications, generate Helm charts, and create images.
  • Continuously improve build processes to enhance speed, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with development teams to tighten feedback loops and streamline development workflows.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline issues to ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in CI/CD and DevOps.
  • Deploy, maintain, and champion tools to improve code quality and security.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in using Bazel for building, testing, and deploying applications.
  • Experience with TypeScript, Scala, Python, and Golang.
  • Passion for optimizing build processes to achieve faster, more reliable, and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Strong engineering background with a focus on DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with development teams.

In compliance with New York City Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role in New York City is between $150,000 and $175,000. This range does not include discretionary bonus or other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with this job.
