Responsibilities

SCA Health is looking to enrich our team with a DevOps Engineer proficient in Microsoft Azure. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about automation, CI/CD practices, and cloud infrastructure solutions. By joining our team, you'll contribute to refining our projects with innovative DevOps practices. 

Position Summary:
 

The DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing our Azure-based infrastructure and deployment strategies. You will work in a collaborative setting, ensuring that our software delivery processes are efficient and lead the automation efforts to streamline our operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Azure Infrastructure Management
  • Design and manage Azure services, including VMs, networks, and storage. 
  • Develop and maintain ARM templates to manage infrastructure as code (IaC). 
  • Optimize Azure resources for high availability, security, and scalability. 
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development
  • Build and sustain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or other similar tools. 
  • Enhance automation across build, test, and deployment phases to boost efficiency. 
  • Monitor and refine CI/CD processes to ensure optimal performance. 
  • Containerization and Orchestration
  • Implement Docker containers and manage Kubernetes orchestration through Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). 
  • Ensure efficient deployment and scaling of containerized applications. 
  • Security and Compliance
  • Apply security best practices and compliance measures across Azure deployments. 
  • Conduct regular audits and coordinate with the security team to mitigate vulnerabilities. 
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting
  • Utilize tools like Azure Monitor and Application Insights for proactive monitoring. 
  • Diagnose and address issues impacting application performance and infrastructure reliability. 
  • Collaboration and Documentation
  • Foster a collaborative environment with software development and operations teams. 
  • Document and maintain records of infrastructure setups, configurations, and procedures. 
  • Engage in knowledge transfer and mentorship within the team. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • At least 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure environments. 
  • Extensive knowledge of Azure services including VMs, AKS, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL Database. 
  • Skilled in scripting with PowerShell, Python, or similar languages. 
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps. 
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration. 
  • Understanding of IaC using tools like ARM templates and Terraform. 
  • Strong grasp of security protocols, compliance frameworks, and monitoring solutions.
