This company is looking for someone to join a team dedicated to building, managing, and maintaining the Kubernetes platform, which supports their mission-critical services. What You Will Be Doing:

What You Will Be Doing:
- Enhance and maintain the company’s Kubernetes platform, including related components and operators, using infrastructure and configuration as code principles.
- Develop and maintain the policy controller for the Kubernetes platform.
- Implement continuous integration (CI) processes for validation and verification of the code base.
- Integrate security practices into the development and validation processes.
- Document the platform to ensure ease of use for application teams and operators.
- Collaborate with other technical staff to implement systems and software.
- Support operations functions, including problem isolation, remediation, and documentation.
- Regularly evaluate and compare the platform's internal ecosystem with industry-leading solutions.
- Oversee technical designs for software solutions that incorporate Open Source components, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components, and custom-developed components.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for tier 3 support.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- An ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical skills, teamwork, and a desire for personal and team growth, including:
- Proficiency in Kubernetes configuration and administration.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform.
- Proficiency in a high-level programming language, such as Python.
- Understanding of network protocols and security.
- Experience developing mature solutions for monitoring and reporting using tools like Grafana and Splunk.
- Experience operating Linux and Unix systems in large-scale environments.
- Familiarity with development tools such as GitHub and Jira.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to describe complex issues clearly.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in developing or operating a Kubernetes platform in a production environment.
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
