About the role:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in automating and optimizing the software development and deployment processes. Your focus will be on ensuring efficient code deployment, infrastructure management, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) across all environments. Youā€™ll collaborate closely with development teams, operations, and other stakeholders to streamline workflows and enhance system reliability.


Responsibilities:

Ā· Infrastructure Automation:

o Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.

o Create and manage cloud resources (e.g., AWS services such as EKS, IAM, ECR, S3, CloudWatch) programmatically.

Ā· CI/CD Pipeline Development:

o Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CloudBees.

o Automate code builds, testing, and deployment processes.

Ā· Deployment Strategies:

o Develop and optimize deployment strategies for applications across different environments (development, staging, production).

o Implement blue-green deployments, canary releases, and rolling updates.

Ā· Artifact Management:

o Work with Artifactory or similar tools to manage artifacts (e.g., Docker images, JAR files).

o Ensure version control and artifact traceability.

Ā· Monitoring and Logging:

o Set up monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to track system performance and resource utilization.

o Configure centralized logging (e.g., ELK stack) for troubleshooting and analysis.

Ā· Security and Access Control:

o Implement security best practices for infrastructure and applications.

o Manage access controls, secrets, and encryption keys.

Ā· Collaboration and Documentation:

o Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and optimize deployment workflows.

o Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

Ā· Communication:

o Strong communication skills to all levels of technical expertise.

o Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently summarize and prioritize information.


Skills & Experience:

Ā· Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform,

Ā· CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CloudBees,

Ā· Artifact Management: Artifactory,

Ā· Cloud Platforms: AWS (EKS, IAM, ECR, S3, CloudWatch),

Ā· Monitoring and Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack,

Ā· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail,

Ā· Bachelor's or Masterā€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field,

Ā· Fluency in English.


Nice to have:

Ā· Agile Methodology:

o Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices for efficient project management.

o Ability to work in an iterative and collaborative environment.

Ā· Monitoring and Observability:

o Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus) and observability practices.

o Ability to set up dashboards and alerts for system health.

Ā· AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate certification is a plus.
