Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Job Description:
Capgemini is recruiting a full-time DevOps Engineer Role.

Core Skills and Experience:

  • In-depth understanding and application in non-cloud environments.

  • Experience in setting up Java microservices on Tomcat, indicating familiarity with application deployment and server management.

  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux systems, essential for server configuration and management.

  • Ability to manage configurations across environments, crucial for maintaining consistency and reliability in deployments.

  • Experience deploying CI/CD pipelines and tools.

  • Proficiency with Jenkins for deployment automation.

  • Skills in managing software releases, ensuring smooth deployments and version control.

  • Deployment experience in cloud environments, though your primary expertise seems to be in non-cloud setups.

  • Strong skills in Shell and Unix scripting, enabling automation of tasks and deployments.

Tools and Technologies:

  • Java 17, Gradle: Tools for building and managing Java applications.

  • Jenkins: CI/CD tool for automation deployments.

  • SONAR: Used for code quality scanning.

  • JFrog repository: Artifact repository management.

  • UCD (UrbanCode Deploy): Deployment automation tool.

  • Grafana: Monitoring and observability tool.

  • Postman: API testing and development tool.

Additional Skills:

  • Agile and DevOps Principles: Understanding of Agile methodologies and applying DevOps practices effectively.

  • Development Testing Automation: Experience with implementing testing automation tools.

  • IT Infrastructure Management: Good grasp of managing IT infrastructure to support development and deployment activities.
